Canadian Roadracers Young, Garvie, Daley & Casas Enter Lupus GP Kart Race as Team Human 2.0

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Stouffville, Ontario, Canada – September 28, 2015 – Although the motorcycle road racing season in Canada and the US has concluded for 2015, road racers Ben Young, Kris Garvie, Trevor Daley and Tomas Casas will be strapping on their helmets once more as “Team Human 2.0” to compete in the 8th Annual Lupus GP kart race fundraiser in support of the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children Pediatric Lupus Clinic.

The 8th Annual Lupus Grand Prix endurance kart race is being held at Goodwood Kartways in Stouffville, Ont. on October 3, 2015. Teams of four drivers raise money to determine their starting position for the race and all of these funds go directly to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children Pediatric Lupus Clinic where 60-70 new cases of Lupus are diagnosed in children and teens each year. On May 28, 2013, the Hospital for Sick Children recognized the over $50,000 in contributions made by the Lupus Grand Prix with a wall plaque on their Donor Wall. Race over to lupusgp.ca for more information.

Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when an individual’s body's immune system attacks it’s own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.
